History
Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) is the parent agency of Angel Step Inn. SCADP was established by community volunteers in 1972 for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and related problems among underserved and disadvantaged populations, especially mothers and their minor children. We target the homeless, persons of color, pregnant/parenting women, high-risk youth, persons living with HIV/AIDS, Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons, and those involved in the criminal justice system as a result of addiction. SCADP has developed a strong continuum of care in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, including 500 residential treatment beds and over 1,500 outpatient counseling slots.
