Our Services
Angel Step Inn provides emergency shelter for battered women with a history of using alcohol and other drugs. We also accept battered women into our shelter that do not have a history of alcohol or other drug use. The following services are available to domestic violence victims seeking shelter and/or residing in our shelter program:
24-Hour Hotline – Trained staff and volunteers offer immediate crisis counseling and support to victims of domestic abuse using our dedicated crisis hotline. Hotline services are available in both English and Spanish.
Emergency Shelter – We offer short-term shelter and assistance locating long-term shelter for single women and women with children fleeing intimate partner violence.
Counseling – Individual counseling services are available to women and children residing at our crisis shelter.
Education – Angel Step Inn offers domestic violence, substance abuse, and parenting education groups to shelter residents. Our staff also offers education to community organizations to increase awareness about our shelter program and co-occurring domestic violence and substance abuse issues.
Case Management – Angel Step Inn staff assist survivors with filing restraining orders, applying for financial assistance and WIC, and referrals to 2nd step services for residents that remain in our shelter for 45-days, and other services as needed.
Children’s Program – Our children’s program helps young residents at the shelter ease the effects of domestic violence through group play, crafts, counseling, and other activities.
